The mission of outreach at St. Paul's is to know, love, and serve Christ through ministry to the community outside our parish. Specifically, Outreach seeks to serve others by providing financial and personal support through the allocation of church funds and through the time and talents of church members.
Some recipients of outreach monies from St. Paul's are:
The Assistance House

Habitat for Humanity International is a nonprofit, nondenominational Christian housing organization.
Since 1976, Habitat has built more than 175, 000 houses, providing shelter for nearly 900,000 people worldwide. Now at work in 100 countries, we are building a house every 26 minutes. By 2005, Habitat houses will be sheltering 1 million people.

The mission of the Kairos Prison Ministry is to bring Christ's love and forgiveness to all incarcerated individuals, their families and those who work with them, and to assist in the transition of becoming a productive citizen.
SAMS' purpose is to recruit, send and support missionaries to be witnesses and make disciples for Jesus Christ in fellowship with the Episcopal/Anglican Church in Latin America. SAMS' missionaries share the Gospel, establish churches, train national church leaders, and minister socially through medical clinics and Christian schools.
The mission of the United Thank Offering (UTO) is to invite people to offer daily prayers and thanksgiving to God and also outward and visible signs of those prayers which will benefit others. The UTO Committee strives to raise the consciousness of the whole church to the UTO mission. The Committee grants money offerings - the outward and visible signs- to strengthen mission and ministry throughout the Anglican Communion. A major volunteer arm of the Episcopal Church, USA, the UTO has been dedicated to missionaries and mission outreach since 1889.
Stewardship
We are stewards of the gifts God has granted us. What we do with these gifts ultimately defines the character of our life and the depth of our spiritual understanding. Knowing that it is not how much we have but what we do with what we have that is important, a Christian steward serves God out of love and gratitude for these gifts.
Every October/November, St. Paul's conducts its "Every Member Canvas," in which parishioners are asked to commit their gifts of time, talent, and treasure. Sharing these gifts with the church for God's work on earth is what we mean by Christian Stewardship. Financial support is both symbolic and highly practical - it allows the church to carry out its mission.
Many parishioners contribute shares of stock, in lieu of cash, toward satisfaction of their pledges. The potential tax advantage for the contributor is the avoidance of taxes on any unrecognized gain in their stock investment.
If you would like more information on making an annual pledge to St. Paul's please contact our parish office.
